The Solo II Custom is built from the tonewood combination of mahogany and figured maple for their blend of warmth and attack. A set of Schecter USA Pasadena humbuckers is based on the PAF platform. And appointments like coil splitting, a compensated nut for intonation, and locking tuners round out the Solo II Custom’s feature set.
Tried-and-true construction
The basis of the Schecter Solo II Custom electric guitar is the mahogany and maple, set-neck, single-cutaway design that has found a home with countless guitarists worldwide. The tonewood combination offers a sound that has plenty of warmth and bark, but the maple delivers long sustain and a quick attack. You’ll notice harmonics and transients explode from the ebony fretboard. But Schecter is far from copying an old design. Thanks to the sharp cutaway, thin “C” neck profile, and Schecter headstock, the Solo II Custom still has a look and feel all its own.
